Helsingin Postipuisto

Asuntosäätiö and A-Kruunu will build a wooden block in the Postipuisto park in Northern Pasila, which will have 89 Asuntosäätiö’s right-of-occupancy apartments and 91 A-Kruunu’s rental apartments. The block plan won the Asuntoreformi architecture competition organised by the City of Helsinki. The aim of the competition was to explore the possibilities of urban wood construction. The six-storey block will be built of wooden CLT elements, which are manufactured in a factory and installed on the site. Thanks to this technology, building the frame will be quick, and the disturbance caused to the surroundings will be minimal.
