Resident activities in A‑Kruunu

This page contains information on the voluntary activities available to A-Kruunu residents that they can participate in to improve the pleasantness and comfort of their building.

Resident activities are voluntary activities through which A-Kruunu residents can make their surroundings more pleasant and functional. It consists of ideas and actions, communication and cooperation – activities that fit with the interests and skills of those in the building. As a resident, you can influence issues related to your own housing. In every A-Kruunu building, a resident committee is selected, and this committee is able to bring the residents’ perspectives to bear on current housing issues.

Resident activities are always shaped according by the residents of each building, and may include grill parties, yard work parties, food circles, club activities or something else done together with one's neighbours. Join in and have an impact on the living conditions and pleasantness of your own home, your neighbours’ homes, and the whole building.

Was there an accident at a voluntary group activity? Remember to take advantage of our group accident insurance. All the different parties involved, from the residents to the property manager and from the maintenance staff to the property owners are equally important actors in A-Kruunu management by residents.

The residents’ meeting

All residents can participate in the residents’ meeting of their building. The property manager invites residents to a meeting at the end of every year. During the meeting, topical issues are discussed from the perspectives of both the company and the residents. The meeting is where a residents’ committee and candidates to represent residents on the Board of Directors are selected.

The residents’ committee

Make housing as smooth as possible! The residents' committee is elected annually at the residents' meeting, and it is responsible for developing the communication between the residents and the property manager. The Act on Joint Management provides the residents’ committee with extensive opportunities to influence their own housing. Each committee defines for itself the tasks that it will assume.

The chairpersons’ meeting

Active residents of different buildings meet at a chairpersons’ meeting. It is an opportunity for residents to share their experiences and to discuss matters concerning all of the buildings together with the company’s representatives.

Cooperative body

When the number of properties increases, a cooperative body will be introduced. For the time being, development-related issues are discussed during chairpersons’ meetings. Meeting times and participants will be decided during the implementation phase.
