Located in the former VR railway workshop area, the Fabriikki block in the Pohjola district is a distinctive and carefully designed neighbourhood with excellent transport connections and nearby services. The bus station, railway station, and city centre amenities are conveniently accessible via the Logomo pedestrian bridge, and the university can be reached by bike in less than ten minutes. A new ice sports and multipurpose arena will also be built next to the A-Kruunu site.

A grocery shop and day-care centre are within walking distance, and the nearest school is about half a kilometre away.

The A-Kruunu rental homes are located in the peace and quiet of their own block near the city centre's services. Logomo, the centre for culture, arts and creative economy, is also located in the area.
